Works awesome on my late 2015 iMac 27 inch 5K retina 16gb Ram
I wasn’t sure how this game was going to work taking into account some people saying it doesn’t work for them. It turns out that my system can run this game on full 5K resolution no problem. I bought the xbox 360 game pad to use and this game rocks just like it did on my console. This looks way better than a console version hands down. I’m so happy to have Black Ops on my iMac. I also have it installed on my late 2015 macbook pro with retina and 16gb of ram, again it runs super smooth on the highest resolution. If you have a newer iMac or macbook like I do, don’t hesitate to buy this game.
Great Game But Crashes A LOT
I love Black Ops the story is engaging, the action is fun, and the missions have high replay value. The downside is this game crashes every single time I play especially on the Hue City mission it either freezes outright during gameplay or crashes if my character dies. I’m usually struggling to survive the mission in order to prevent the game from crashing. Runs very smoothly otherwise I don’t understand what I need to do to keep it from crashing I have a 2015 macbook pro and I run the game on minimal recommended settings. Hopefully they can fix this issue with an update or something. Otherwise great purchase I’m glad they brought some of the COD games to Mac.
Worst COD game at Apple
I’ve played all fo the COD games on the Apple Store, and is this is the worst by far. The crashes reported by other users occurred frequently for me as well. What’s worse is that every time you restart the game you have to sit through these ridiculous LONG stories. They were fine the first time I played, but I don’t want to see them again. Why wouldn’t they give you the option to skip through all of that crap? Out of the 30 minutes I was trying to play today, I maybe got in about 2 minutes of actual game time after all of the movies and the crashes.
Buy another COD game or look for another shooter. Don’t waste your time with this one.
